Hardly the most rock n roll thing you're ever lightly to see is it? I would picture him at home, practicing his songo grooves in 7/8 with a hot mug of cocoa!!!

I can comfirm that news, actually I heard he got back earlier this week from the tracking. I also heard "worked on his double bass a lil" before hand... now, that is scary.

AH...I've said this mentally many time...I'd love to see Virgil on a Baked Potato gig phrase in a little Bonham during a solo. Why not? What rules are there really to creativity? To see Vinnie with Brian Bromberg and then a metal gig...surely in the studio there isn't a lot of difference to actual playing--fusion is seriously demanding music...throw in some power chords and you've got Winger w/o the complex phrasing.

I'm trying to say something I feel when I see a chops-fusion cat solo--give me some phrasing I can grab hold of!

Guys, this is nothing new for Vinnie. Remember he did the Queen of The Damned ST with Marilyn Manson and a few other hardcore rockers.
To me I am not surprised by this, Vinnie is the first guy to call. Especially if Dann Huff is behind the console.

that would be him indeed. Sum of the "nashville drummers" get alot of christian gigs or are involved in that "scene", Chester Thompson for example [img]smile.gif[/img]

I even wore one on a gig recently hoping the magic would transfer down to to me.

And no, it didn't work.
